A bright, mid-weight Chardonnay with white peach flavours and lovely texture.
A new range from Robert Oatley, Wildflower wines have been sourced from selected vineyards across Western Australia`s Margaret River and Great Southern regions. There are over 12,000 species of wildflowers that grow in Western Australia, over half of which cannot be found anywhere else on earth. The native bush surrounding our vineyards abounds with these vivid blooms providing a distinctive wine landscape like no other.
Traditional white wine fermentation. Malolactic fermentation was avoided on purpose, in order to retain the wine`s long fine acidity. The wine was matured in French oak barriques (20% new). Production is overseen by acclaimed vigneron Larry Cherubino who has developed the range with a dedication to sustainable grape growing practices using minimal intervention. The grapes come from selected parcels from sites across the Margaret River region, from Karridale in the south through to Wilyabrup in the north.
Hand picked fruit from parcel in Pemberton and WA, this gently oaked Chardonnay offers delicious Peachy characters and bright acidity. A no brainer!
Great with white meats, fish and shellfish with a buttery/creamy sauce.
