Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Think strength and silkiness, a perfect balance with aromatic intensity and a lot of freshness.
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot, the house was later taken over by his widow Madame Clicquot at the age of 27 in 1810. Through determination, intuition and acumen Madame Clicquot not only created the first recorded vintage in the Champagne region but built up the Veuve Clicquot property to make it one of the foremost vineyards in all of Champagne.
Blended from 30-45% reserve wines with grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different crus. The Pinot Noir predominance (50-55%) provides the structure that is so typically Veuve Clicquot, while Chardonnay (28-33%) adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine, and a touch of Meunier (15-20%) rounds out the blend. The long aging in our Crayères (3 years minimum for Yellow Label) gives silkiness to the Champagne.
Think strength and silkiness, a perfect balance with aromatic intensity and a lot of freshness.
Great as an aperitif or with sea food, fish tartar, salmon, pasta and parmesan.
