A great white wine, without the alcohol!
The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that started 90 years ago in war-torn Europe and is now told, generations later, across Australia. Their heritage encompasses the universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise and rise of the Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family who considers good wine, good food and good friends to be among the true pleasures in life.
A specialised yeast strain isolated by Institut Oenologique de Champagne is employed to highlight the varietal characteristics of the Traminer. Completed a healthy 10-14 day ferment in stainless steel.
The wine is de-alcoholised using the newest SIGMATEC technology from Schmidt. The process is a distillation under vacuum. This allows the elimination of alcohol at low temperature (30-35C) with minimal aroma loss.
A highly aromatic wine, with scents of rose water, musk and lemon zest. Offering a generously sweet palate of turkish delight which is balanced by the acidity of the Riesling.
These styles have a light fruitiness that match well with Asian and Spicy Foods - Chicken Curry; Pad Thai, Soft Cream Cheese - Brie, Camembert or Feta.
