West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Ripe fruit and vanilla oak on the note, with some complexity and roudness on the palate.
Felix Solis is one of Spain`s leading wine producers. The company was founded in 1952 in Valdepeñas in central Spain and is still fully owned by the Solís family. The company now has some 6 wineries across Spain, and most recently built a state-of-the-art winery in Chile.
After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks where the must remains in contact with the skins for 8 days to extract all the colour and tannins. Alcoholic fermentation then begins for 8-12 days at a temperature of 26-29ºC, followed by malolactic fermentation which takes place at 20ºC. Afterwards, the wine spends 18 months in new American oak barrels and another 18 months in the bottle.
Deep cherry red in colour on the nose this wine displays aromas of candied fruits, cocoa and oak. Rounded, savoury well balanced and complex on the palate, with great harmony and a long finish.
Perfect companion for all kinds of meats, stews, cured cheeses or succulent dishes.
