A soft textured palate, with vibrant acidity, apple, lemon, melon and a harmonious finish.
It may seem hard to believe, but in 1993, when the brothers, Francisco, Javier and Luis Parra founded Parra Family Organic, the idea of Organic certification was a new one. But the brothers decided it was a natural thing for them to pursue, given their long history of sustainable farming.
The brothers are intimately involved in the workings of the cellar and the vineyard. Made in Central Spain by a family with a deep history in viticulture, their wines are easy to drink yet filled with complex flavours. In a variety of styles, their vineyard is the largest NOP-certified Organic vineyard in Europe.
This Albariño comes from the warmer, drier region of La Mancha. Biodinamically farmed and impressively grown at high altitudes above 800m to retain the characteristic acidity of the grape, the wine is then fermented using ambient yeasts and aged in inert stainless-steel tanks to preserve the fresh and delicate nuances of the grapes.
The nose gives aromas of pungent citrus, tropical fruits and hints of wildflowers. A soft textured palate balanced with its vibrant acidity, apple, lemon and melon, leaves a fruity and harmonious finish.
Pairs perfectly with seafood such as crayfish, prawns or with soft cheeses like the local manchego.
