Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Fresh with notes of grapefruit and white flowers, a lovely texture coupled with flavours of apricot, peach and citrus.
Château Miraval is located in the Provence village of Correns, the first 100% organic village in France. All the crops, including grapes, are grown organically in this wild and picturesque town. Tucked away in its own private valley, the Château is surrounded by ancient woodlands and olive groves. In 2012, owners Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie partnered with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel fame, who oversee wine production at the estate.
Their continued dedication to improving quality, in both the vineyards and the cellar, have seen the wines go from strength to strength, with Château Miraval today considered one of the great names of Provence.
All the varieties are vinified by direct pressing. The Cinsault and Tibouren are fermented in stainless steel vats, the Grenache and Rolle are partially fermented (to music) in tulip-shaped concrete vats with a rounded bottom. This ovoid shape gives rise to a natural convection movement that suspends the lees creating the same effect as bâtonnage, adding texture and body to the wine with no need for stirring. The high quality of the 2020 harvest made it possible to carry out vinifications with minimal intervention.
This rosé is a very delicate, pale pink colour. The nose is fresh with notes of grapefruit and white flowers. The palate has a lovely texture coupled with flavours of apricot, peach and citrus, which are well-balanced with lively acidity.
Paire with fish and shellfish.
