Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Aromas of apples and straw, with a fresh, round and light palate and harmonious fruity flavours.
Domaine created in 1947 by Robert Blin, Maxime`s grandfather. They became "Vigneron s independents" in 1988 under the impetus of Gilles, Maxime`s father. Maxime returned to the estate in 2005, followed by his wife Claire in 2013. Maxime and Claire chose to go down the organic route in 2018 and the vineyard has been certified organic since 2021 and the first organic wine arrived in 2022.
The champagnes from the estate are ‘mono-crus’ or single-village wines, which is very rare in the Champagne region. For the last few years they have been practising ‘enherbement’ (maintaining grass cover between the vines) on some plots and using alternative methods to work the soil. The grapes were manually harvested, whole bunched pressed with a “Coquard” press and vinified in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. Maturation was in oak barrels for two years.

Great with shellfish, terrines and lighly battered foods.
