Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Fresh and fruity with spicy notes, flavours of cranberries, plums and blueberries, fresh acidity and crisp tannins.
Cavit is a leading co-operative in the mountainous Trentino region of northeast Italy. The winery began as a consortium of associated grape growers in 1950. Today It unites 11 separate cellars and their combined 4,500 grape growers across 7,000 hectares of vineyard, to produce an impressively broad portfolio from an intriguing palette of indigenous and international grape varieties.
The grapes are left to macerate for 9-10 days on their skins. After a short period in stainless steel the wine is matured for a time in oak.
Fresh and fruity aromas of bramble and red fruits, with spicy notes from a short period in oak and a hint of nettle. The palate includes flavours of cranberries, plums and blueberries, with fresh acidity and crisp tannins on the finish.
Risottos, Trentino-style rabbit or chicken in cooked tomato sauce or even roasted chicken.
