Felix Solis – Valdepeñas: The current Félix Solís winery was built in 1975 and is one of the largest family-owned wineries in the world, with the most modern production and storage facilities and machinery. The winery produces Valdepeñas Denomination of Origin wines , Tierra de Castilla wines, generic wines, sparkling wines, dealcoholized wines, musts and sangria. Their expert oenologists combine traditional methods with modern winemaking technology.

The Solís family has 400 hectares of its own vineyards and works with almost 5,000 farmers in the area. Located in the center of Valdepeñas is the original winery of Félix Solísin, now the group headquarters of Félix Solís Avantis.

Wine Making

Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with the aim of extracting the maximum aromatic potential of the Tempranillo variety and elegant tannins. Subsequently, the wine is aged in American oak barrels, beyond the minimum requirements that the DO establishes for a crianza red wine.
