Plum, cherry and subtle spice notes, with vanilla, red fruit and youthful tannins.
Founded in 1928, Cantina Levorato are based in the town of Dolo, within the Veneto region of Italy. They have come a long way from selling their wines in barrels or demijohns in the city of Venice, and in towns along the Naviglio di Brenta canal.
Tradition and innovation are the cornerstones of their business. To that end they have implemented a restructuring plan that will increase production capacity and meet the ever changing needs of their customers.
The grapes were manually harvested in mid-September and fermentation took place in small batches between 28-30ºC, with natural yeasts. The skins were left in contact with the fermenting wine for 10 days. After malolactic fermentation the wine was bottled without the addition of oak ageing.
