Judith not only lives according to the postal address, but actually lives in the middle of the vines. Hence their deep relationship with their own vineyards. Their wines are natural, truthful, genuine and above all, authentic.

Always more reserved than loud. Judith acquired the tools to take over father Matthias`s wine-growing business at the Klosterneuburg wine-growing school and through internships at Cos d`Estournel (France), Braida (Italy) and Errazuriz (Chile). She has been in charge of the winery since 2004. Judith is also a key member of a group of Austrian female wine makers called "11 Frauen und Ihre Weine". 11 Women and Their Wine.

In 2007, with the help of the expert Dr Andrew Lorand they decided to convert to biodynamic viticulture. In order to keep the vines healthy in a natural way, they rely, among other things, on greening, the conscious care of biodiversity, fertilization with organic humus, manual labour and the consideration of the lunar cycles in certain work steps.

Their wines are both organic and biodynamic certified. The grapes are manually harvested and destemmed before a spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. After a 2 week maceration the wine is matured for 12 months in old barriques, where malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is bottled filtered but without fining or sulphur.
