Producer Information

James was Gourmet Traveller Sommelier of the Year in 2008. He ran South Australia’s largest wine show the Adelaide Review Hot100 from 2010-2013. Founding member of Natural Selection Theory together with Sam Hughes, Anton van Klopper and Tom Shobbrook. James works with vineyards which are either rented or the fruit is purchased. 95% of the vineyards are managed by Fiona Wood, 5% by David Gartelman.

Wine Making

1000 Fires is made from a blend of Muscat & Chenin Blanc A fun, funky natural wine from Australia`s McLaren Vale with just a smidge of skin contact, Low in alcohol with a crowd pleasing tropical fruit profile & crisp, citrusy acidity. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with no sulphur added.
