Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Intensely fruity, reminiscent of raspberries and strawberries, with a full-body, well-balanced and a good finish.
Integro is the Italian definition for intact, whole, complete. The winery embraces traditional organic wines of Primitivo and Negroamaro, from Puglia. They respect their provenance by keeping the terroir untouched by any chemicals or pesticides. In the extreme south east of Puglia lies the Salento Peninsula, one of the most important agricultural areas in the whole of Italy with miles of unspoilt coast. This corner of Italy has a micro-climate which is absolutely perfect for the cultivation of grapes. The microclimate of Salento is perfect for producing deep and complex wines.
The harvest is done in the early hours of the morning, with the grapes being put into 10kg crates. De-stemming is followed by fermentation at 22-24c for 8-10 days, during which time remontage is carried out daily. Malolactic happens spontaneously immediately after the alcoholic fermentation.
Intensely fruity, reminiscent of raspberries and strawberries, with a full-body, well-balanced and a good finish.
Perfect with pasta dishes with tomato-based sauce, red meat and game.
