Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Medium-bodied, with Truffle and sweet cherry fruit aromas, flavours of red cherries, tobacco and lovely, bright acidity.
Fattoria di Rodano is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico in the famed region of Castellina in Chianti. The original farm dates back from the Middle Ages when it was used as a lodge for pilgrims travelling from northern Europe to Rome.
Its pristine vineyard, spread over 100 hectares is located 200-300 metres above sea level, and is the perfect location to create classic, soulful Chianti Classico. The estate has been in the Pozzesi family since the 1700s and Vittorio Pozzesi is the President of the Chianti Classico Consortium. He runs the winery along with his son Enrico and winemaker Giulio Gambelli.
The vineyards are certified organic and are constantly being replanted with the newest Sangiovese clones. The grapes are manually harvested and fermented with a 22 day maceration, followed by ageing in Slavonian oak for 28 months.
Truffle and sweet cherry fruit aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with earthy red cherries, hints of tobacco and a lovely, bright acidity that adds freshness.
Rich meats and ragu`s, along with lamb, game, beef and Pizza.
