Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Deliciously understated, with a touch of savoury brininess, a hint of white flowers, and so easy drinking.
The estate was created in the 1850s and the name comes from the word ‘Mirador’ because it is located on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Bassin de Thau and the Saint Clair mountains. Joseph Albajan was born into winemaking and bought the estate off former owners in 1988. To date, the estate operates 30 hectares of vineyards and was renovated between 2003 and 2009.
Green harvesting and organic viticulture are part of the estate’s philosophy. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, using traditional methods before bottling.
This is a deliciously understated wine, a touch of savoury brininess, a hint of white flowers, and before you know it, the contents of the bottle have disappeared into history.
Thirst quenching and utterly appropriate with crab and chilli linguine, seafood in gerneral and especially oysters and shell fish.
