Aromas of candied fruits, plums and chocolate notes, with harmonic tannins, medium-body and good finish.
Concha y Toro’s history begins with their founder’s Melchor Concha y Toro`s dream to create the best wines. A tradition persevered over time, inspiring them to work with passion and excellence.
In 1883, Melchor Concha y Toro, a prominent Chilean lawyer, politician, and businessman, decided to bet on Pirque’s winemaking potential. To do so, he brought in French vines from the Bordeaux region, and invested in winemaking machinery and a subway vault to store his wines. From this visionary gesture, Concha y Toro has been distinguished by Drinks International, placing it number one in its annual report of The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands.
The grapes are picked both manually and mechanically in April. Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks and epoxy concrete containers for 2 months.
Bright and intense ruby red, with violet reflections and aromas of candied fruits, plums and chocolate notes. The palate shows harmonic tannins, a medium-body and a good aftertaste.
Ideal to serve with red meats, cheese, spicy stews and pasta with spicy sauces.
