Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Ripe and appealing, with a lovely velvety structure, concentrated fruit, depth and a long finish.
The Saint-Emilion properties Château Milon Grand Cru and Clos de la Cure Grand Cru have been in the Bouyer family for over seven generations. In the capable hands of Alexia and Pierre Bouyer, the domaine takes an ecological approach to the running of the estates aiming to bring out the best of their terroir.
Vines are planted on old sandy soils, sandstone and gravel. Fruit is manually and machine harvested. After a cold soak pre fermentation, a 3-4 week maceration in temperature controlled tanks follows, with regular punching down. Before bottling the wine is aged for 12-15 months in French oak barrels, 30% new of which are new.
Ripe and very appealing with lovely velvety structure and concentrated fruit, notes of damsons, bramble and blackberry. Nicely balanced with good concentration and depth which carries through to the long finish.
Excellent with roast red meats and hearty slow roasted vegetable dishes.
