Unit 7 Scandinavia Court,
Chain Bar Road, Cleckheaton,
West Yorkshire, BD19 3QW
Intensely fruity with raspberry, cherry, prune and plum characters. Sweet, soft and velvety, with notes of raisins.
The Winery’s production philosophy is focused on high quality and a short supply chain from the producer to the consumer. They are personally involved in the entire production chain, from the harvest and preparation of the grapes, to the winemaking, up to the ageing, paying special attention to small batches during bottling.
Harvest in the last week of September exclusively by hand. The grapes are dried “Appassimento” in stores for 120 days. The wine is made through destemming the grapes, then gentle pneumatic pressing in the beginning of January. Fermentation takes place at a temperature from 12c to 23c. The wine is macerated on the skins for 20 days with manual punch-down of cap 3 times a day. Malolactic fermentation takes place and the wine is matured in stainless steel vats and then in bottle
Ruby red in the glass, with violet hints. It is intensely fruity with raspberry, cherry, prune and plum characters. Generously sweet, soft and creamy velvety, with warm notes of raisins on the finish. A sweet red wine, unique to the Italian wine scene.
Ideal with Italian biscuits, mature cheese, spiced fruit dishes or crumble.
