Ripe blackcurrant and berry fruits, hints of grassy herbs and black fruits, balanced by a slight grip.
The ‘Pays d’Oc’, refers to the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, known by the French as ‘Le Midi’. Geographically the Oc covers an incredibly broad swathe of vineyards from the Rhône delta in the middle of southern France, arcing all the way round to the Spanish border on her Mediterranean seaboard.
The Bellefontaine range has established an international reputation for consistent quality and value.
The wine making team of Samantha Bailey, Guillaume Letang and Julien Dugas build on long-standing relationships in the local regions, tasting, understanding the terroir and appellations, and pushing the boundaries of each wine they produce. Together they have the local knowledge to select and blend the very best wines from throughought the Southern regions.
Ripe blackcurrant and wild berry fruits on the nose with a hint of grassy herbs, medium to full-bodied black fruits balanced by a slight grip and length offered by underlying tannins.
This medium- bodied dry red wine is fantastic with full flavoured red meat dishes and cheese.
