Aromas of blueberries, plums and cherries with, smokey notes, soft tannins and a smack of fruity acidity.
Araldica is Piedmont`s most forward-thinking co-operative situated in the heart of Barbera d`Asti. Many members joined the co-operative in the 1950s and have a long and loyal relationship with the winery producing wines from Piemonte`s main DOC / DOCG regions.
Ceppi Storici comes from vineyards in the Monferrato hills in the south of the province of Asti, Piemonte. Hand harvested from vines over 40 years old, fermented in stainless steel tanks at 25-30° C. The wine was then transferred to a mixture of French oak barrels and large traditional Piemonte oak vats for 12 months maturation.
Warm, spicy aromas of blueberries and plums and cherries with subtle, smoky notes. Soft oak tannins offer an extra dimension to the texture. A refreshing smack of fruity acidity on the finish gives plenty of definition to the ripe fruit.
Great with traditional dishes such as pizza, pasta, red meat and hearty vegetable dishes.
